Magnesium: The Mineral Your Body Loves

Before the week gets away from you, take a minute to book your yoga classes. We schedule meetings, appointments, and errands without a second thought, but our own wellbeing often gets pushed to the bottom of the list. Have you heard the saying, "If you don't make time for your wellness, you will be forced to make time for your illness."

It’s very simple really.

  1. Book your class
  2. Turn up to your class

No one ever regrets coming to yoga

On Thursday, the 4th of June, I’m away for a 7 day break. I know some people say, ‘…but you just got back from a Retreat’!! That is correct! And although it is a fact that I absolutely love my Retreats and teaching Yoga, I also need a break. I will have Nora and Shia back to teach some classes for me. Stay tuned for the timetable for Thursday onwards.

Meanwhile, here are classes from Monday-Wednesday.

Monday

6pm Beginners

7.15pm Mantra and Meditation

Tuesday

Wednesday

Magnesium: The Mineral Your Body Loves

I have been wanting to write a little bit about magnesium and the benefits of this nutrient for quite a while, and finally I have put something together. No, I don’t sell it! I wish I did! I have it every night and swear by it.

Magnesium supports muscle function, recovery, sleep, energy production, and a healthy nervous system. It’s particularly important for active people and can be helpful during periods of stress, when the body tends to use more of it.

It is found naturally in leafy greens, nuts, seeds, legumes, and whole grains, magnesium is one of those quiet achievers that helps keep many of the body’s systems running smoothly.

It supports good sleep, healthy muscles, and a calmer nervous system. I take it nightly in tablet form but I’m currently looking at powders as well because the tablet tends to be a little large. I have been taking magnesium for years and I really notice a difference if I miss a couple of days.

Meanwhile, I hope you are adjusting to Melbourne’s chilly weather of late. You can stay warm by making sure you don’t miss your yoga class

😉

Here’s to a great week ahead for all of us!
